Knowledge Integration

Create property development and investment opportunities in the form of “real world” land and property projects.

Knowledge integration is the culmination of every other learning objective in this program. The other 9 disciplines are the basis of our curriculum, passing on to us invaluable knowledge and skills that will be necessary in our careers. Knowledge integration, however, seems to be the main objective of this program. It is imperative that we know exactly how to use what we’ve learned and be able to draw from our past experiences in a real-world setting.

Luckily for us, several of our courses prioritize knowledge integration in the curriculum and gave us opportunities to showcase our knowledge in practical scenarios. In LDEV 664, our final project was to prepare a market analysis for a potential development. For this project, my group chose a potential mixed-use/multifamily development in Bryan. We got to bring together everything we had learned in the class thus far to complete a cohesive market analysis of this property. We completed a productivity analysis, a supply and demand analysis, and a subject marketability study to accurately analyze our property and the market. This is just one example, as several other classes had us integrate knowledge effectively into a final project.
